How common is Wizardry?

In particular, did rings of Wizardry become more common recently? I feel like I'm seeing them more often than before lately.

At the moment I'm in Swamp: 3 (in 0.20 stable) and I just found a fourth one (in addition to one staff of wizardry earlier). Although I think one of the rings was in Laybrinth.

There were like ten Wizardry releases in the US, and at least a couple dozen Japanese spinoffs; it's a pretty well-regarded series. So it's been common for a long time, though there haven't been any new releases in a while.




Also, I'm 99% sure the rings you're talking about have not recently become more common. Clustering!

Ya-huh? Snake 3, ring #5, same game...

If I didn't have a ring of slaying and a white ring with multiple resistances already, I'd be getting kind of sick of seeing them.

Without searching the commit-log, I'm fairly confident that you are just experiencing ordinary variance.
