Evocables as a Conjurer

I'm at D:7 as a DECj^Sif. I'm wondering whether a conjurer should train some evocations or not at all. The question arised when I found a shop with these things:

Re: Evocables as a Conjurer

You don't need it. In general, rather than hexing some monster, you can simply blast them. I would delay training evo for now, or only train a little bit, because DE has good Evo apt.

Later on, you'll have tons of XP, or you might decide to use an enhancer staff as a weapon. With some staves training and a bit of Evo, enhancer staves can make decent weapons (since you would have trained a lot of corresponding element anyway).

Re: Evocables as a Conjurer

A few points of evocations are cheap.

Either way, you should buy a wand or two if you aren't saving up for anything great. They can save your ass when you run out of mana. The iceblast 4 and paralysis wands above look good, just don't waste paralysis against high-MR targets.

Re: Evocables as a Conjurer

Rule of thumb. Does your god give allies and mp in some form or fashion.

If yes to both ignore evo past 6
If yes to one get evo to 6 and delay evo 15.
If no to both train all the evo.

This is just my personal guideline, it's probably suboptimal and has obvious exceptions.
