Will Freezing Cloud make skeletons, zombies, or spectral things angry at you? I have a necromancer-type that just found it. Derived undead are cold resistant, but not cold immune, correct?

I got a chance to get on wizmode. Freezing Cloud does not anger these derived undead, they stay friendly, but they also don't avoid the cloud as far as I can tell and get killed off fairly quickly.

Pcloud is more useful, but Fcloud and derived undead work alright too. Yes the cloud kills the zombies, but it does so slowly because of undead cold resistance. Meanwhile, your horde will keep monsters inside the cloud easilly. If you are killing living things, you'll have more zombies soon.

Besides, they are zombies. They are slow and were going to die anyway.

Try it out if you have a suitable character, it is better in practice than it is on paper.

At the risk of stating the obvious, simulacra are derived undead and are completely immune to cold.

I didn't think it was possible to make your own undead angry at you anyway. With the possible exception of reading ?holy word, but I don't even think that does it.
