NewOg Background Recs are unchanged in Trunk

I've been musing on new Ogres and thought I'd check what the recommendations are for backgrounds. As of just now on CAO, they are unchanged from 0.19: Hu, Be, AM, Wz, FE. Surely there are other mage backgrounds that are now viable; which ones, do you think?

I haven't playtested new Ogres, yet. Or even given much thought to the matter. But unless I'm much mistaken, you can now play their early game just like with any other caster race, but with more HP. Which means: Whatever is recommended for Draconians should also be good for Ogres now.

Just because the current recs are often somewhat nonsensical doesn't mean the concept should be scuttled entirely imo

I disagree, but my point was that IE is particularly great for new Og, with its spellcasting apts and fragility being what they are. Is IE a very strong background? Absolutely. But when talking about recommendations, we should be looking at which backgrounds are most suited to given races, rather than "play these strong backgrounds". Again, imo.
