Identify wands

Identifying wands in the early/midgame is often better than identifying potions or scrolls. If you have a mid-tier wand (iceblast, acid, confuse, paralyze, enslavement, disintegration, digging, lightningish, slowish), you get a decent-sized stack of a known consumable out of your scroll. When you id potions, you usually get 1-2 of a random potion. Potions on average are weaker than multiple iceblast/enslavement charges.

Potions are generally good to identify because they can save you with some unique effects (curing) or give you massive combat bonuses, bigger than combat wands (might). In addition, mages would generally rather just cast a spell themselves than waste turns evoking wands, and most wands are pretty mediocre without evocations skills.
