solved - How do I give items to followers (tiles)?

I'm doing a HOFi with Beogh. I just got a message that I can now give items to followers. However the phrase os too generic to search on the forum! Can anyone please tell me how I can get generous with my Orc cousins?

Edit: It appeared in the Abilities menu, but wasn't there when the message appeared. Took a few turns.

Maybe it checks presence of named followers in view.

If I recall correctly, you can only give items to named followers, so it may have been that you didn't have any of those at the time the message first came in.
