Holy s**t I had huge luck.

Turns out that Saint Roka and serpent resisted fear, but I still had 4 HP left... Used blink, succeeded... Saint Roka took arbalest from holster and shot me... but amulet of reflection did its job well

Constriction can prevent scroll/spell of blinking, it's random (and probably spoilery).
