Battleaxe of Freezing vs Electrocution?

At mindelay and same enchantment, which is better (against non resistant enemies).

They're more or less equal AFAIK, freezing maybe slightly more average damage, elec maybe slightly more consistent damage.

Elec is probably a bit better unless you're fighting cold blooded enemies.

Re: Battleaxe of Freezing vs Electrocution?

I did up the damage numbers once upon a time, i think the upshot is that freezing can *eventually* be better, given sufficient bonuses, but it was a high enough break point that you are unlikely to see it in a 3 rune game.

I am not sure if that is still true probably someone should fsim it.

The difference is only noticeable against enemies with resistances.

Freeze is better against OoFs, and elec is marginally better against ALiches, for example.

Do freezing weapons slow cold-blooded monsters? I seem to remember that some kinds of cold damage do while others don't, and I can't remember which category the freezing brand falls into.

If they do, draconians are cold-blooded and slowing them is pretty good.
