I believe it's because you were contricting that orc. I think your EV is also dropped when constricting, which does make some sense when you think about it.

Negative. I'm constricting a plant as we speak and my EV score isn't changing.
From a game design perspective that's dumb anyway. Why apply that sort of weakness to a class that already has a bunch? >.>

I didn't check ttyrec, but I think the last your action was going upstairs. Taking stairs decrease your EV by 5.
