Spells that can get through Stone

So there is a permanently confused angel on D:3 that is trapped inside a large square shaped structure of translucent stone that has an altar to TSO and Xom. Luckily I am playing as a GrEE so I was wondering what spells could possibly break the stone walls? Is it just Shatter? I'd love to get a Sacred Scourge early on if possible.

Okay thanks, once I get LRD castable and with good spell power I'll go back and try and get that whip! Hopefully I can do it by the middle of Lair.

It took a couple rations and a potion of brilliance, as well as a wand of iceblast/fire but I finally got the thing to break open and kill the angel.
