Does slaying apply to enhancer staff melee?

Using staff of earth as my melee weapon. Found an otherwise nice item with Slay-6. Will it have any effect on damage or accuracy?

It should affect both, though staff base damage is already terrible so making it even more terrible is maybe not that big a deal. Most of your damage will come from the magical damage (which is not subject to slaying, except for accuracy of course) and hopefully from the conjurations you're using it to enhance.

Generally, I'd say slay-6 is too awful to use, but this is one case where it might be more OK (depending on the rest of the item). If you're using the staff to kill popcorn, it doesn't matter a whole heaping bunch if the popcorn lives slightly longer.

Try it. If stuff won't die anymore, stop using it. If things are OK, things are OK.
