Generally if you have 10+ pots of heal wounds, you dont need them. It happens.

That's true. Still, I would estimate that I don't even find 14 !HW in a typical 3-rune game...

An AK could probably scum in the Abyss a looong time and get them. I had to abyss scum for days to get a much-needed cure mut potion once or twice. You tend to get a lot of other stuff in that time.

No Ziggurats available? Scumming Abyss for !curemut seems ...paradoxal? How did you manage to not get more mutated in the process?

I found an amulet of RMut after my worst malmut. I rejected all healing at the time, so I didn't want to go in a ziggurat. I used Leave Abyss ability or just made quick in and outs if a portal back was near where I was when entering the Abyss.

I just splatted a DsGl of Mahk who had the powered by death mut. 18 pot of HW, not counting the 2 or 3 I used in Shoals5, and I didnt even have a wand. Man... I cant believe that Ice Fiend frosted me that fast

It happens! It's just about being patient and keeping it in the back of your mind. Treasure Coves are far from mandatory, though they do brush shoulders with fun, I feel your pain.
