Draconian Advice plz

I want to play a draconian and use dragonform.
What should I do?
Monk, Transmuter? Maybe a mage background?
What stat should I be dumping points into?

Anything else that might be helpful.

Thanks for reply. I've just never used dragon form before and I want to try a char with it. If I start with a mage will the starting int be enough? Allowing me to dump points into str

Just focus on getting through lair and s branches as and EE with UC as a weapon. Learn dragon form when you can find it. Any god that you can rely heavilly on til you get dragon form up is good (fedhas, yred, nemlex, or any god you are extremely comfortable with) Stats should be dex or int. Maybe a few potshot points into str starting at 21.

I'd want to have a badass earth mage that dumps a chunk of magic pool into the enemies before switching into dragon and finishing the fight.

The only worthwhile benefit of dragon form is that you deal massive UC damage.

If you want to use dragon form I would suggest playing drtm.

Dragon form does a truckload of damage. Base damage is something like 18+2/3Str + UC. So in the late game you can have it be somewhere in the range of 40-50, and that's pretty obscene.
