Shorter Branches and Exploration Piety

Now that many branches are shorter, I'm curious whether there have been any compensating changes to piety gain for gods that appreciate exploration. Will my feel for the pace of piety growth with these gods from 0.16 still ring true in 0.17 and trunk?

Played Ely and Nem in trunk and had no piety problems

piety for kills, xp, etc. hasn't been adjusted either despite the reduction in both

You're probably not going to notice, because the early parts of the game are unaffected and that's where piety gain is most noticeable. For gods that involve spamming abilities with high piety cost (chei?), maybe you'd notice in the mid-game, but I never have.

Reducing branch length, reducing available XP, and reducing available piety, are all rather good changes, and it doesn't look like anything needs compensating.
