exploration gods and the labyrinth

this may have been asked before, but i failed to find the right search terms. anyways, i'm currently on a mummy of nemelex and just entered the labyrinth. can i now just walk around forever to gain piety and decks? or is there some mechanism (besides boredom) to stop this?

after some experimentation my theory is that you only get piety for uncovering each square once, even if it gets covered again later. anyone confirm/deny?

I guess thats true, although the lab is contanstly changing. But, as a mummy you can scum to find all little vaults inside the lab too, and get piety in the meantime.

I always feel like piety gain in Lab with Ash is very fast (abyss like).
