Felid Defenses

The challenge I'm currently attempting (of my list of winning a Monk of every race) is a Felid Monk of Kikubaaqudha. Thought I'd ask, which is the best defensive combo to aim for?

1. Ice Form + Ozo's Armour + Cond Shield + Corpse Drop + Cigotuvi's Embrace
2. Blade Hands + Ozo's Armour + Cond Shield + Corpse Drop + Cigotuvi's Embrace
3. Necromutation + Ozo's Armour + Cond Shield + Corpse Drop + Cigotuvi's Embrace
4. Statue Form + Stoneskin + Corpse Drop + Cigotuvi's Embrace
5. Forget about trying to have good defenses; just aim for Death's Door and turn it on when your HP is low.
I'm beginning to feel like a Cat God! Felid streaks: {FeVM^Sif Muna, FeWn^Dithmenos, FeAr^Pakellas}, {FeEE^Ashenzari, FeEn^Gozag, FeNe^Sif Muna, FeAE^Vehumet...(ongoing)}

Re: Felid Defenses

I think 4 is the best one as well, but I like the power of Dragon + Ozo.

Re: Felid Defenses

I had Statue Form+Stoneskin, Death's Door and Borg Revivification just in case, that was fun. Not possible in 3 rune game I think.

Re: Felid Defenses

You can use condensation shield with statue form as well. A few extra SH is very nice and you don't need to train super high ice magic to get a few sh. Just like 5-7 ice magic is all you need to start.

Ideal melee felid spell buffs (eh, leaving out some):
statue form + stoneskin + condensation shield + regen + shroud of golubria + phase shift + haste

Make macros for them. If statue form is spell s, then bind 1 to the macro zs. Then buffing up is as easy as 1 2 3.

shroud of golubria is effectively +10 hp so you should keep recasting it in any fight where you're getting damaged slower than 10 hp/turn.
streaks: 5 fifteen rune octopodes. 15 diverse chars. 13 random chars. 24 NaWn^gozag.
251 total wins Berder hyperborean + misc
83/108 recent wins (76%)

Re: Felid Defenses

if you're just going for 3 runes, i guess whichever actually drops first? or did you already find all of them? statue form or necromutation (guaranteed with kiku) if you want more. and yeah, don't forget about shroud and phase shift. as well as confusing touch, it's great for felids.

Re: Felid Defenses

I think that 4 is the best option, but I'd fear than, other than mapping a macro for all of this, you wouldn't bother casting the buffs for every battle...

Berder's idea seems fine too :D
