What to use phantom mirror on?

It does not, but it can take a hit, which, together with the placement, is the point. Apparently.

Cerebov, TRJ, Serpent of Hell are my favorite choices, generally guys I often have to kill. In the tournament me + serpent hit the real serpent for like 3/4 of its HP in a turn, which was pretty amusing. In general, aside from uniques, things you can't avoid and are fairly powerful are good choices. Against TRJ, I like it because my characters are often underleveled when fighting him, and getting him trapped by your allies is very useful so that you don't stack up tons of corrosion. Phantom TRJ can take/deal damage fairly well. I'm not sure if this is a feature, but when I use the mirror it tends to spawn right next to the enemy, which is usually right where I want it to spawn to prevent TRJ from running away.

I found TLH to be a pretty funny choice, especially if you can get your copy to be in water while the real one is on dry land.

Wait, why? Does being in water modifies something else for hydrae but movespeed?

I think that for monsters there is no separate move and attack speed. Hydrae are faster in water.

Actually I am pretty sure some monsters have different attack and movespeeds (well, I've seen them described as such in old knowledge bots). I just have no idea if that's how hydrae work.

Mostly it means that it can chase after the real one (which is probably chasing after you) and attack it on the same turn. Not that it really matters since they chew through each other so fast since hydras have pretty crappy defenses.

Hydras definitely don't attack faster in water, though I think they might have at some point.

I save them for Zot 5. Unless your Zin follower you can mirror orbs of fire.
While a mirror OOF against a OOF is not that good they are extremely good at taking out approaching ancient lichs and orb guardians while you concentrate on killing the OOF.

Lernean hydra mirror can one-shot the Lernean hydra.

I have had the mirror clone 1shot the true one every time I have used it.

Lerny is basically a glass canon, has terrible EV and AC. Whichever gets the first turn wins

Regarding the move speed vs action speed issue, I believe the only case where this is actually "broken" is spriggan, felid, and centaur player ghosts, who will attack you at higher speeds as well was moving at higher speeds. Good thing spriggans have no hp, or their ghosts might be deadly

Might also explain why my naga ghosts aren't killing as many people as they should be.
