Numeric move keys nonfunctional when monster in sight

Hi!

So I'm without WiFi after a move, and downloaded tiles to play offline. I noticed that I can't move using numeric keys when a monster is in sight. I couldn't find, or didn't understand, the command to change this in init.txt. anyone know what command I need to add to stop getting "A GIANT GECKO IS NEARBY" when I try to hit the 7 key to move?

Thanks! :)

You have num lock on, the numbers do a "run in a direction until you encounter something in your LOS then stop" the actual arrow keys do move one at a time.

No such luck, sadly. Numlock is off. But yeah, I am moving in a continuous line when I hit a number.

Try hitting num-lock anyways; sometimes something can miss a num-lock toggle and get out of sync with the indicator light on your keyboard (or even disagree with other programs about whether it's on).

I know the lettered move keys, thanks. They're not a good option for me.

Sounds like no one else is experiencing this. Well damn. I guess I'll try to dive into custom key mapping and see if I can't fix it myself. >.<

Thanks for the advice, all. :)

Maybe your shift key is stuck on?
