Beogh smite and invocations

Does anyone actually use this? It seems very expensive and does little damage. Also, apart from this, I do not see any point of training invocations for Beogh.

Nobody used this before this change. I didn't play after the change but training invo only for the smite (even strong) still looks like not very good idea.

Thanks, that actually seems decent. A few levels of invo are easy enough, with HO apts.

I used it after the change I think.

Mainly in Zot:5, it was great against aLiches and OoF

But to be honest, my mail goal was mainly to burn piety and get a cool title...

I occasionally used even before, when I got high invo on a HoPr for some reason. It's expensive but kills Mara OK, you can use it even if your buddies are blocking LOF. And what else are you going to do with Beogh piety?
