Are randart base types marked as "seen" for acquirement?

Just got an artifact amulet of rMut with -Tele via ?acquire. I haven't found a plain amulet of rMut yet. Does this make the amulet of rMut "seen" for purposes of acquirement now, or not?

Odd - I would have assumed otherwise, because finding a randart rMut amulet does NOT identify rMut amulets. So you haven't ID'ed it but you have seen it? Seems inconsistent.
