Obsidian Axe + Beoghites = ?

Is there any reason not to gift the Obsidian Axe to one of my named orc followers?

It wasn't possible because the demon-summoning hadn't been implemented for them; that's just been fixed, so you can in trunk.

Yes, monsters are always mesmerised.

Actually monsters will move away from you in some cases - sometimes they do that if they can't cross water and you are hitting them with ranged attacks and they can not fight back, also they will go through another passage if possible if you block one with a lightning spire. I dunno if allied orcs do that, though, and well, you can command them to retreat.

Or recall them, for that matter... was just thinking that a warlord would do obscene buckets of damage with that thing.
