Changing My Religion

Hi all,

I'm pretty new. This is the first time I've gotten far enough to wonder about changing gods. I'm a Kenku Wizard, specializing in Fire and Conjuration. I've already got most good fire spells, and I have the book for firestorm, so I'm thinking about leaving my religion, Vehumet, because I don't need the gifts. Would you recommend this? What god should I switch to?

Thanks!

You should consider it pretty carefully; I'm not sure what Vehumet's wrath is like, but it probably sucks to be on the business end of it.

Note that the 1s are permanent (so you get exp from them (and demon whips from balrugs))

This has all been great advice. As only level 13 or so, I think I'll stick with Vehumet for now.

That said, what are "1s"? Could you explain a little more?

Re: Changing My Religion

Demons fall into tiers; 1s are the most nasty (especially the fiends), save for demon lords (which get & in console, at least, but I don't know about tiles)

Fiends all torment
the icy variety are particularly deadly in melee
shadow fiends can dispel undead
and the rest toss around hellfire

Other 1s:
balrugs toss around normal fire (fireball, bolt of fire, sticky flame), smite, and tote demon whips
blue deaths most notably cast shadow creatures, but also have bolts of cold and lightning
green deaths love poisonous clouds and poison arrows
executioners are really fast and hit you a lot
and cacodemons summon lots of imps and mutate you (hahaha)
