Invisibility is a lie
Anybody have an explanation? Of all creatures that could see and kill me while i'm invisible, it had to be a one eyed baboon??!

No you don't, and if you think otherwise then you haven't fought Maurice without SInv.

In my experience, if you go invis after a monster sees you, it's pretty unlikely that they'll make a wrong move following you, although it certainly does happen sometimes.
Invis does cause monsters to make some strange decisions regarding friendly fire though. Enemies like centaurs will try to fire through their allies to hit where they think you are, but if you're visible, they won't fire through allies.
