Any way to rescue this MuGl from death by moat?

So I am in the bailey with the flight potions. Since I was greedy for loot without thinking I spent my last ?blink to get to the other side of the moat- but its just a tiny island. Where I am now stuck, without any apparent way out of this mess. Anything I overlooked? Its a shame, I got a kickass artifact weapon early on...

Are those rock walls? You could dig through them. Otherwise, maybe potion petition will give you one of flight.

Nope, its stone. I am about 90 gold short of a potion petition due to using one earlier.

I fixed the vault so it won't happen again. In general if you fly or controlled blink into a closet it is your own responsibility to find a way out; however, this could also have trapped people who randomly teleported, and we try to avoid that.

Is this online or local? If the online, which server (and can you connect with ssh to take a save backup, (A)dvanced -> (B)ackup -> (N)ormal then copy the URL and post here)? If local, can you upload your save somewhere?

In the OP's case, you also can't actually see that the square in question is a dead end if you're standing on the other side of the water.

I made a small tweak to your save and CDO admin Napkin replaced your save with the fixed version, so you should be able to continue your game now on CDO.

Re: Any way to rescue this MuGl from death by moat?

Thank you, neil. There is just the small problem that I am getting this:

Level file is invalid. Minor version mismatch: 125 (want <= 124). The save is
from a newer version.

Which prevents me from playing anyway. Is it possible to fix this new problem?

Do you still get that now that CDO has updated? Does it ask you about a save transfer?

Re: Any way to rescue this MuGl from death by moat?

I do still get that message. But I also do get a "you want to update?"- updates have never worked for me. (at least on this server.) Eg. I prompt Y, it runs trough the motions, but afterwards the same bugs etc are crashing my games and anytime I log in I get the same prompt.

So no wonder that did not work.

That's very strange and we can't figure out why transfers aren't working for you when you say Y... your game was indeed still on the old version.

Napkin transferred your save manually, so see if it works for you now.

Press "t" or "T" instead to transfer your save-game to a new version of crawl. Maybe there is an keyboard layout issue in play.
Please report bugs to the bug tracker, and leave feedback on the development wiki. Thank you!

Re: Any way to rescue this MuGl from death by moat?

Well, thanks again everyone. The game works now and is updated. I tested on other servers, and I face the same Issue. I will test if pressing t gives different response.
