yeah it stabbed on cleaves hehe, for short blade level stab bonuses too. Ereshkigal, Cerebov, and Mnoleg all died in one shot to it. I also managed to kill 2 Hell Sentinels and a Pan lord with 1 cleavestab.

I don't see the combo. You only get the stabbing bonus if the opponent is somehow disabled or at least distracted, no? So how did it go? Let them surround you, then wait until they fall asleep?

Yeah I was looking for the +Inv in the equipment, didn't find it. Not even a wand of invisibility.

True, but stealth level is only "fairly stealthy."

That's because of the Orb. It decreases your stealth by a huge amount.

Yeah I knew that, very stupid of me. I was wondering why only "fairly stealthy" with such high stealth in a not-too-heavy body armor. Never mind!

Yeah i believe it was "incredibly stealthy" before the orb. Enough to walk up to sleeping opponents from LOS most of the time, but once i got into a fight it was back to just normal smashing things with my axe. The combo was just the super high damage of the axe combined with the boots changing the stab bonus to that of a short blade. Enough to 1-shot almost any enemy in the game, I never found one it didn't one shot but I'm sure Antaeus might have had enough health to live.

I'm just impressed there wasn't any noise fighting on Cerebov's level for him to have woken up before he even came into LOS :) Good job making the most of your stealth score, since there isn't any reliable way to disable him once he's up! (I think only needles would be reasonable? I'm not an expert on stabbing)

Maxed throwing skill with needles of paralysis and a scroll of vulnerability. Works on everything.

Uh, don't needles check HD and not MR, thus making ?vulnerability useless? It's been some time since I've played a needlestabber, so I'm not sure at all (it wasn't a problem needlestabbing cerebov without the ?vuln, anyway).

Yes. These are two separate measures to make cerebov (and almost any other monster, really) susceptible to stabs.

I thought needles were changed? Well, that explains why I was able to needlestab lom in v15.

Cerebov is the only named demon lord who isn't immune to magic, so you could use a vulnerability scroll and confuse on him. It's probably not as reliable/safe as using needles though.
