Playing online (no mouse control) how do I use reaching?

As in how do I target enemies one square away with reaching weapons like spears? I can only use the keyboard for commands

While using a polearm you can use 'v' to reach and target a monster, or you can just use 'tab' to auto-attack the nearest critter (Whether it's with reaching or not)
