Is there an Auto consume option?

I am wondering if there is an Auto consume option for corpses? I found how to turn on auto pray for burning corpses, when your god likes like, but can't find an option for chopping and eating if hungry.

auto_eat_chunks = true


That will auto-eat chunks whenever you reach 'Hungry' (or with carnivore/gourmand, whenever you fall below 'Engorged' enough to not waste nutrition) without breaking rest, autoexplore, or autotravel.

I don't know of an easy toggle to auto-chop all corpses, but unless you never play corpse-sacrifice gods you probably don't want that anyway, it would be a pain to have to edit your rc file before every game depending on the god you hoped to go with.

I have a macro tied to "e" that butchers and eats.

I don't use it anymore.
I tend to run away, and then I get far enough that I know autoexplore will send me in a new direction.
So I hit autoexplore.
Instead, it decides I'm hungry enough to eat.
So I eat in place.
And whatever I was running from catches up.

I was able to modify the behavior of my autotravel by defining a macro on 'o' that calls a custom lua function.

HDAtravel does some pretty useful things before running off to explore new areas using the standard autotravel.

• Automagically finds, chops, and eats corpses/chunks when necessary.
• Recovers MP with Staff of Energy, Sif Muna, or Sublimation of Blood if you have chunks available.
• Recovers HP with Regen spell if you have chunks available.
• Animates corpses with Animate Skeleton, Animate Dead, or Yred's Animate.
• Waits off negative status effects before traveling (Slow, Confuse, Poison, Exhaustion)
• Recovers HP to at least 80% and MP to 50% before traveling.
• Prompts you to eat a ration if you are Near Starving.

Trying to autotravel while running away from corpses occaisonally will get you into trouble when it decides you want to go eat that orc you just killed, but like Tedric said it just means you didn't run far enough away.
