How exactly do zero stats work in 0.15?

My TrBe got his int drained to 0 while berserk and got the "brainless" status.

I quaffed a potion of restore abilities, but even after my int was back up to 5, the "brainless" indicator lasted for quite a long time afterwards. I don't exactly know how many turns, but it was roughly as long as it took for my HP to heal from half back up to full.

Does this always happen with all stats, or is it somehow related to being brainless while berserking?

The status effect takes quite a while to wear off (yes that is intended and in no way related to berserk), so make sure to not be close to getting braindead if you are fighting something that might suck out the last of your brains.
take it easy

The time to recover from brainless is proportional to the time you spent at 0 Int.
