Nikola - Orc 2

I found the unique Nikola in the orcish mines on level two. He is generally considererd a mid game unique. Just earlier someone had mentioned that Nikola had appeared mid vaults and he forced their character to come back later. So is he supposed to be able to show up in Orc 2 and pull a mid game sigmund?

The only monster that naturally spawns in any Orc with more EXP gain than Nikola would be a Warlord, and even then I haven't seen one on Orc 2.

What exactly are the parameters of his spawning?

Nikola has DEPTH: 14-19, !Lair, !Slime, which I think means he could spawn on Orc:3 if your Orc entrance was on D:11?

Lots of nasty stuff can appear in the orc mines (Agnes, Kirke, Saint Roca, Terpischord to name a few). I would never recommend clearing the mines as soon as you find them.

Lair first, dungeon more, some vault, then orc.

Big hordes of priests is also really dangerous.

I am familiar and generally savy with Orc. I just had never found him in the Orc mines. Yes, mobs of trolls, orc priests, warriors and knights. Orc can be extremely deadly.

Just really more curious about Nikola.
