Is 14 str still a breakpoint for longbow?

Before ranged overhaul, I read somewhere in the tavern (from crate, if I remember correctly), that 14 str was the breakpoint after which longbow damage had significant diminishing returns.
Does still this breakpoint exist, or now hitting things with 8 str is the same?

AFAIK, none of the special cases for ranged combat and attributes exist anymore. AFAIK, ranged combat is exactly like melee combat except with full LOS range.

Pro-tip: the base damage of a given launcher is the launcher base damage + the ammunition base damage; they are added together before any multipliers are applied.

Should I take this to mean that Str and Dex give you a small percentage boost to ranged damage but it's not a huge deal?

Essentially yes. It's mostly strength, mind you, but bows have a fairly high dex weighting, so dex will help somewhat to. Crossbows are nearly all strength (for damage). Not a big deal for most characters, I haven't yet really played around with a chei archer, that kind of stat gain would probably be noticeable. Haven't had the time yet, though.
