There are no monsters in sight!

So, I decided to try out qazlal, and so far he has seemed incredibly powerful for the character I have used. I want to win, but I decided that I was going to win without using magic since I found a wand of hasting and wanted to try a new path to victory. I just found a bow of storms, which to me is so flavorful I can't ignore it. Would I be able to justify using it for ranged combat in place of support magic and spells without sacrificing too much of my ability to win?

Also, how does one adjust auto-pickup on webtiles?

Re: Tasty Flavour: Is it worth it?

It's a good bow you can use it no problem.
Should be even better with new ranged, probably.
Your fighting is shit though so you probably want that fixed before fancy stuff.

Yeah, fighting is currently being focused no matter what. Thank you for the assistance!

With 11 or 12 invocations upheaval is strong, and gets stronger the more you train invo. That actually gives you pretty good AoE damage, disaster area fries stuff at long range, elemental force gives really good summons. That plus dragon breath and storm bow and good melee gives a lot of options if you don't want to bother with magic.

Don't cart around valuable non-tactical consumables. As dck suggests, I'd train only fighting for a bit, maybe pick up a bit more invocations, then you could totally put some experience into making that bow good, yeah.

Storm bow is very good.

But why are you walking around with rC-? Do you really need that ring of fire? Wear AC ring instead.

Yeah, thats probably a good idea. I was carrying them mostly because ctrl F doesnt work on my computer for some strange reason(unless I use a really slow awful browser). Ill just stash them in the temple so I remember where they are.

I had forgotten to take it off after against some enemy with fire attacks that I can't remember. I found magic resistance shortly after, so I'm wearing that now haha.

if ctrl-F doesn't work in webtiles, try * then f. (You can use * to set up ctrl-commands in macros / browsers / other situations where ctrl doesn't work).
Won all race/bg, unwon (online): Nem* Hep Uka
Favourites: 15-rune Trog, OgNe/OgIE/OgSu (usually Ash), Ds, Ru, SpEn, Ce of Chei, Qaz
