Dragons walk through lava?
Posted: Thursday, 3rd April 2014, 21:22I just fought an ice dragon who happily waded into lava to get at me. Seems...unlikely.

It was a Dragon of Beogh. I mean obviously.

This is a case where the tiles created a false bias in my head -- most of the dragons look "heavy," as though they are standing very solidly on trunk-like legs, and their wings look vestigial (an artifact of evolution, too small to achieve true flight for such a massive creature). The drake tiles signify flying much more obviously.
I'm actually surprised I've played the game this long and never noticed this behavior.

ADoM has that. Then you can cross deep water over the ice bridge, provided you're not carrying too heavy a load. Then a fire-breathing dragon comes around while you're on the bridge...

Or in a certain dungeon a certain monster confuses you right into water, which is red for a reason ...
