Nemelex abjuration

So I just lost a Nemelexite who needed summons from a deck of summons, and drew a card that gave aura of abjuration. As a result anything I subsequently summoned was abjured almost immediately. The old effect of being able to mass-abjure your own summons was bad enough; now you can get a status that prevents you from getting new summons. Is this intentional? It seems pretty harsh, unless the intention is to make it necessary to stack/triple draw decks of summons.

???

Abjuration doesn't abjure friendlies (and has never done so).

Re: Nemelex abjuration

Are you sure there wasn't a monster nearby capable of abjuring and it just seemed to you that you did it?

Re: Nemelex abjuration

One monster failed to summon because there was no room to summon it (!lg Lasty tram 1 -tv).
