Sif muna piety question

How does piety gain with Sif muna work? I can't seem to find any info on it. I know it's through training magic skills, but does is depend on character level? Is leveling spellcasting from 2->3 equivalent to ice magic 20->21?

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=3907&p=50134 talks about it a bit. In short, it just depends on how much experience you put into raising your skills, so raising a skill from 20 to 21 will give you much more piety than 2 to 3, granted you're at the same character level.
