At least on a character like a Spriggan where you're seldom in 'urgent' need of food since your meals last you for so long and can be eaten whenever. Isn't it *better* that food be scattered about the dungeon - so no matter where you are you're likely to have food on hand? I dunno, managing the stash seems like a bunch of back-and-forth that doesn't make much sense to me.
