...how do I drop only part of a stack of items? Say, if I'm carrying a stack of 70 stones and I want to drop 35 of them, how do I do that? Is it possible?

Press d, then the number of items you want to drop, then the letter.

Thank you. The interface gives no indication I can see you're trying to drop some instead of the whole stack, even though it works. That could probably use a change.
