Thanks for the new non-portal vaults

In the past week I've come across the standard Gnoll/Hound vault layout, but populated with orcs!. This was a nice variant, and quite fun to play through.

I also ran across a level where about a 3rd of it was populated with Gnolls, Gnoll warlords (tough sobs), and Gnoll shamans (who were a bit weak for my liking). This was also very exciting and welcome.

I'd love to see more non-portal themed vaults in the game! They don't (and probably shouldn't) contain overpowered treasure, or net tons of xp, they're just very fun and add so much to otherwise monotonous levels!

I think I skipped the level for a while and then came back to finish them little by little. I was playing an Air Elementalist so I had to lure them in the corridors where I could multizap them with lightning bolts.

I'll chime in with more thanks for the devs who write these things...they're very enjoyable and it's always fun to come across a new vault and have to think carefully in order to beat it.

I just encountered a vault guarded by a lot of iron golems. I had to dispatch all of them and clear the way into the vault. There, in the middle of the room was lying the ring of robustness.

One of the nastiest ones I've run into was a crystal wall-enclosed CTRL-TELE-only vault with a statue and about 8 crystal golems (+loot) inside - killed one of my most promising characters! Simple, nasty, very Crawl

Let it be known - I went for the loot instead of vamoosing. Totally could have escaped. Ah well!

I'm noticing a lot more interesting variation in Trunk lately, it's very welcome. Although one of my favourite flavour pieces is (I think) quite old- the Fedhas shrine surrounded by scythe-wielding devotees.
