Ogre Warper Fun!

I just started Ogie the Ogre Warper, and the game is off to a good start, and with some very appropriate finds in D1-3:

- 5 poisoned javelins
- ring of teleport control (Hello, semi-controlled blink!)
- ring of teleportation (not so bad together with the other ring)
- Altar of Makhleb

So basically I have an OgCK now but with controlled blink, controlled teleport and poisoned javelins. Kinda cool!

Edit - ... and now I have a dead Ogre. Met Purgy, tried to melee him (!?), got in trouble, and then miscast Blink twice in a row.

Re: Ogre Warper Fun!

yeah lon ago in the Something Awful forums someone suggested OgWr as an alternative to a pure spellcaster because OgWr starts with a very useful melee skill set and simple supporting utility spells, which is better than trying to train both offensive melee and offensive spellcasting (for conjurors and elementalists). Also why Reaver's are a bad class in general
