sexy morgue files

I've heard that people sometimes look at the morgue files of good players to see how they train skills, what gods they worship, and so on.

Can someone explain (or direct me to an explanation of) where to go, and how to search for specific characteristics like:
species/class
15 runes
started with a certain god

Thanks!

You want to use lg to find the morgues you're looking for, it's fairly involved, but the above link is all the documentation on how to search for games.

Join ##crawl on freenode, and send a private message with a valid search query to Sequell.

Sequell is a bot that can search morgue files from every Crawl game that has ever been played online, using a query syntax that has been described as an "unholy combination of Lisp and shell".

Examples:

/msg Sequell !lg . -log
/msg Sequell !lg greatplayers win crace=Draconian
/msg Sequell !lg goodplayers win job=Warper
/msg Sequell !lg * win god=Xom
/msg Sequell !lg * win char=MuCK
/msg Sequell !streak elliptic
/msg Sequell !lg elliptic win -tv:<T0:>T5000
/msg Sequell !lg Yermak win -ttyrec
/msg Sequell !lg greaterplayers win urune=15 cv>=0.19 min=turn -log
/msg Sequell !lg * win char=MuMo urune>=6 god= s=end,name
/msg Sequell !lg qw win min=dur

It is possible for queries to timeout if they are formatted such that the search takes longer than 90 seconds. (As of this post, the bot has 7 million+ morgue files to search, so occasionally queries can take a while.) If your query times out, format it differently and try again. There is extensive query syntax help, including many more examples, in the above-linked listgame.md.

edit: Beaten to the punch for including examples!
