Naga of Chei, not sure whether to change god for endgame

Hey I've got quite a strong naga which is atm clearing crypt easily and i'm not sure which direction to take it. I have a longbow and fairly good bow skill so was considering TSO for the brand and could enchant it to +9, alternatively i could keep to my transmuting beginnings and continue building my necromancy to use necromutation, in which case i guess i would stick with chei. My only concern is losing the extra stats will weaken my character too much, any one have any experience making this kind of switch?

just a quick tip. Put the morgue in the code bracket! (everyone will get pissed at you). keep chei because you are a naga. i did extended with a naga of chei using only statue form and controlled blink. if you learn that you should be good.

Is it actually possible to holy brand a ranged weapon?

I edited your post to do this for you, but for future reference, you should highlight your character info, and click the CODE button along the top of the text box, then post. Makes it easier to read, as you can see now.


Advice:

Keep Chei, not because you are a naga, but because you already have max piety and a lot of escape options.

Top priorities:
+ Don't wear gear that leaves you with rF- (rF X), in general, but especially as a Cheidude. Huge gamble to walk around with negative resistance. Take off that ring.
+ Get enough invocations that you can actually use Step From Time. All of Chei's invocations are good, not just slouch.

Then, get Revivification castable.

Then you can pretty much do what you want, just be careful. I'd enchant up the longbow of freezing and use that to wreck stuff at full range. You can keep carrying around the shortbow to switch for invisible dudes and the occasional enemy that is weak to fire.
