Slaying: Two questions

1) Is there a cap on Slaying?

2) I have the elemental staff and have gotten all kinds of slaying gear. Is there any relation or was it just luck.

Thanks. I have 21 in slaying and even could go higher but switched Gloves of War to gloves of fencing to get more dex and ev. Even my elemental staff is strong with this amount of slaying.

You could throw scrolls at enemies and it would be strong with that amount of slaying.

Yes, I was thinking of weilding rotten chunks. The only dangers I have are mobs or hellfire. All the Pan bosses went down without buffs and never lost more than about 1/4 health even with their cohorts. Just with Cerebov did I have to be careful. And I haven't even finished hell or the Abyss yet. But did finish two Zigs.

I suspect these two things might be related, unless you got all your sweet gear outside of ziggurats.
