Is there any way to get into items that are surrounded by stone blocks and granite statues, besides digging? Does digging even get through those? Perhaps disintegration?

Disintigration will break the statues. Digging will not work and nothing short of Shatter (level 9 earth spell) can break the stone blocks, as far as I know.

It's possible that there's a hidden door too?

There's also teleport control, although you should be prepared to get bounced around when you miss the one square in the middle and land in a wall.

Yeah, but LRD requires a lot of spell power and multiple castings. It can occasionally break walls that disintegrate can't though - something nice to remember if you rely on those metal walls to stay where they are.

passwall also works pretty well to get items behind walls. Iirc does not work on stone walls, but does work on rock walls and most importantly does work on translucent walls.
