About wanderer stat2

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=9877

thank you blacksheep

but i still can't understand

because my english is bad (sorry, i'm foreign trog :P)

give me help with exsample
(you replied

While you still have stat points remaining to assign:
Pick a stat at random.
If that stat is greater than 17, there's a 50% chance to choose again, otherwise:
Increase the randomly chosen stat by one.
Decrease the stat points remaining by one.)

hmm..

Troll has str 13 int 2 dex 3 and +2 all stats

so result is 15 4 5

and if rolled wanderer stats are 10 1 1 (and no re-roll)
What happens next?

i guess TRWN has two cases

23,3(-1),4(+1)->but this case 2 int is too low.so adjust stat.. +1 int and -1 str ->finallly 22,3,4

or 23,4(+1),3(-1)

right?or wrong?

Re: About wanderer stat2

I'm not sure how exactly wanderer stat generation works. I assume since the background is randomized that it gets a pool of stat points to assign randomly. Say it has 5 points left to assign... the code will pick a stat at random, and then check whether that stat is over 17. If the stat is under 17, it goes up by 1 and the number of stats remaining to be assigned goes down to 4. If the stat is over 17, half of the time the code will still increase it by 1 and half of the time the code will make another random stat selection. This reduces (but does not eliminate) the chance that all of the stat points will go to one stat.
