If you are playing Webtiles I generally doesn't stop no matter what you do - even if you press a key. In downloaded versions of the game, generally pressing any key will stop Auto-travel.

I wonder, why is the web version such a terrible mutant? Is there a deep reason against using the downloadable version for online?

Yes the difficulty in coding it. Im amazed they got webtiles working at all. It seemed like there was no hope for it for ages.

I just tried out webtiles, and both autotravel and autoexplore were interrupted when I pressed a key.

Re: How do you stop auto travel

I have a noticable input lag when I try to stop autotravel by pressing a key. I think it is a matter of latency. The server calculates and executes the move commands pretty fast I guess, and in the time it takes to press the key and process the command my character has been moved further quite a bit.

Just a guess, though :)

I tend to mash my keyboard in a simian rage. It works *okay.*
