Tournament clan banners should be cooperative
Posted: Sunday, 11th September 2022, 01:09Currently, clans only receive clan banners which one of their members has earned on his own. This is in contrast to Clan Categories, which are scored based on the clan's combined efforts.
My suggestion is that clan banners should be earned based on the combination of all games played by the clan, allowing them to be earned by the clan even when no individual player has earned them. This would bring them in line with Clan Categories, and more importantly it would make clan play more fun.
This would affect the following banners:
Explorer Tier 2: Collect 5 distinct runes
Explorer Tier 3: Collect all 17 runes
Heretic Tier 3: Abandon and mollify 3 different gods in 3 different games
Pious Tier 2: Champion 5 gods.
Pious Tier 3: Champion 13 gods.
Gelatinous Body Tier 1: Reach experience level 9 with at least 5 distinct species and at least 5 distinct backgrounds.
Gelatinous Body Tier 2: Get a rune with at least 5 distinct species and at least 5 distinct backgrounds.
Gelatinous Body Tier 3: Win with at least 5 distinct species and at least 5 distinct backgrounds.
Prophet Tier 3: Over the course of the tournament, win with three different different gods and Invocations as your highest skill.
Harvest Tier 1: Kill 27 distinct uniques over the course of the tournament.
Harvest Tier 2: Kill 54 distinct uniques over the course of the tournament.
Harvest Tier 3: Kill 85 distinct uniques over the course of the tournament.
Angel of Justice Tier 2: Kill at least one unique pan lord and at least one unique hell lord over the course of the tournament.
Angel of Justice Tier 3: Kill all four unique pan lords, all four unique hell lords, and the Serpent of Hell (at least once) over the course of the tournament.
As an exception, the streak banners would continue to be based only on the best earned by any individual player in the clan.
Other banners would be unaffected, because they're earned based on a single game rather than combined efforts across multiple games.
