The tournament starts on Jan 5, 2018 at 20:00 UTC and ends on Jan 21, 2018 at 20:00 UTC. Here's the tournament home page with a preliminary set of rules:

The 0.21 release will happen before that time. Feel free to coordinate teams in this thread or discuss any rule changes you'd like to see. There have been a couple relatively minor changes to scoring (see the rule changes section), and we're still considering if there's a good banner for WJC. That page will be updated if there are any further rule changes.

I'll probably make another quick Trunk Updates post at some point before the tournament starts. Best of luck in the tourney, everyone!

I'll be looking for a (somewhat laidback) clan. I hope for a win or two at least, but work may be interrupting more this time around.

In any event, I've been having a lot of fun getting some runes and banners and expect some more of that.

I'm also not against starting a clan, but I might use some inspiration for a name.

Just to confirm, is the tourney played in Trunk? Cause the instructions say version 0.21 but the Trunk on CPO says it's 0.22 ...

(Or is there just no 0.21 on CPO? Sigh.)

24 hours passed since the tournament started (okay, 25), and the leading players already have 4 wins, including 15-runers. Crazy.

Easy combos and first combo wins get more points early! Makes sense to get points to coast on now.

I mostly get to play (as Loopi) some nights in Indochina Time (GMT+7) and for now primarily on the Japan server (LLD). But you can play whenever/wherever and there's plenty of room.

You don't need to be particularly stellar, just "semi-active" or more would be nice for some company and maybe a few chats.

Clans are locked after a couple more days.
