The Apocalypse Challenge

For a while now I've been wondering if it's possible to win a Ru game just with Apocalypse. Don't worry about the drain, just Apoc yourself right down to 0 skills and keep apocalypsing your way to victory. This is almost certainly a bad idea, but nevertheless, I issue this challenge!

I figure there are three tiers to this challenge:

Apocalypse Initiate: After getting Apocalypse, spam it on everything scary. Use it repeatedly, probably hovering around 0 skills.
Apocalypse Adept: After getting Apocalypse, use nothing but Apocalypse to kill monsters.
Apocalypse Master: Somehow manage to get Ru without killing any monsters and then use exploration to get enough piety to Apocalypse, using exclusively Apocalypse to kill monsters for the entirety of the game.

I'm pretty sure the Master level is completely impossible, but I know there are some diehard crazy folks out there, and I'd hate to underestimate you.

This is the hardest challenge ever, because you have no idea how excruciating it is to be unable to attack except at like 30 turn intervals until you've tried it. Other than the ridiculous amount of stairs involved it's "not difficult" but uh yeah no. For your sanity, don't try this at home.

I got a rune, it's entirely possible to do the rest of a 3-rune game, if you have infinite patience. I recommend at least centaur instead of troll, since being able to move fast would make this enormously less annoying.

Vampire seems like the best option for this challenge. Bat mode and infinite hunger seems optimal.

You should probably allow 0-skill weapon attacks just for sanity reasons.

0 skill weapon attacks are actually pretty strong though. To the point that they're the most common way to win crappy skillrobins.

Anyway, I've already done the good apocalypse challenge. This one sucks.

Yeah, did this with a felid for a while, my boredom meter peaked at lair 8 and I suicided, this is a doable, but not very fun challenge.


Fwiw, apocalypse is not amazing damage, also it is mildly interesting to get to reset your drain for a while with felid deaths.

Yeah, you have to kite stronger enemies, that is why it is so tedious.
