About the new weekly god list: is the list truly random or is it like the "random" selection of race/start where previously used selections are prohibited? There are only 20 gods and 7 weeks x 4 gods=28 entries, so there must be some repetition, but it'd be a shame to see some gods never make the list.

It's like the "random" selection. The only gods not included at least once are Xom and Beogh.

Okay, we're less than 24 hours away from the start of CSDC Season 3! Reminder that the first challenge will start at 12:00AM UTC, which is in about 19.5 hours.

Currently we stand at 64 players, which I have separated into 4 divisions. Below are the preliminary divisions. Signups will be open for another two weeks, so I might have to tweak divisions around between now and then depending on how many additional people join.
Divisions were roughly selected based on # of wins, win rate, longest streak, and performance in previous seasons of CSDC when applicable. It is an entirely subjective and imperfect measurement, so please don't be offended if you feel I misplaced you. Just shoot me a PM and we can work it out.

I also wanted to mention that Kramin has set up ##csdc on freenode (you can type "/join ##csdc" to get there from ##crawl), where live milestones and scores of all CSDC games will be reported. Really? Dang, fucking timezones. This is why I hate that AM/PM thing. With 24 hour format that's one less reason for confusion.

Timezones are a bitch, especially in software development. It's never as cut and dry as folks like to think. I can't begin to count the number of minor to completely major fuckups I've seen in my line of work due to people not understanding how timezones work.

Alright, Week 1 of CSDC Season 3 is currently underway! The RNG has been consulted, and it recommends... MfAs.

Some reminders:
- Only games played in TRUNK with the username you signed up with will be counted for your CSDC game.
- Gozag and Ru are disallowed, worshipping either god will result in a score of 0 for the week.
- If your first attempt dies before reaching XL5, you get one more attempt. The higher scoring game will count towards your score.

This is also the unveiling of the CSDC Season 3 Scoreboard that Moose has created. The scoreboard will update about every 10 minutes throughout the competition. Note that it only updates when a game is completed; for checking on games in progress you can use the bot in ##csdc. Week 1 is a trial run for the scoreboard, so please message Moose or I if you notice any bugs.

Just wanted to make a quick note that the divisions are likely to change quite a bit until signups close on October 25th. If we get more than 5 or 6 more people, I will likely add a 5th division and rearrange everyone accordingly.

So please don't be surprised if you get moved around or if the divisions get a massive shakeup between now and the 25th.

Question about championning gods : do we get the point if we champion another (non-eligible) god first, and then one eligible god ?

4 Additionally each challenge includes a list of four gods. A bonus point can be earned upon reaching ****** piety with one of the listed gods (but only if it is the first god worshipped that game, and you don't abandon or get excommunicated later).

You will not be treated any differently, i.e. your 2nd MfAs game will count as your 2nd.

I'm also excited to announce that we have a new and improved scoreboard this season, which Moose has generously created. The webpage will update automatically every 10-15 minutes during the competition.

While extremely useful, readable, and well laid-out, it appears to be missing a qualified-to-"retry" column; I think that was a helpful column.
