Suddenly I'm awash in clans!

I'm going to coordinate low-experience clans for Tavern for the 0.15 Tournament.

So far...
- Clan GNDS disbanded leaving TehDruid, glosham and orshelack to fend for themselves.
- I've only heard confirmations from 3 members of my legacy DEEZ clan for this year: igxfl, tedric, treerex5.
- I've had a request from Taverner blami to join...
- Including me, that's 10 players. I've PM'd each player to check this thread and we can coordinate.

NOTE TO THE TAVERN COMMUNITY:

If anyone else is interested, I'll help coordinate you into a clan as well! No one on this list claims to be an expert. Don't expect to beat minmay, unless you are minmay, and then you'll just tie.
When you post, MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE THE USERNAME YOU PLAY ONLINE WITH so you can get listed properly in a clan list.

Yup, I'll join in this tourney as well. I have a little more experience under my belt this time, I recently got my first 15-rune win.

At this pace, by tomorrow, we may have enough players to have to break into 3 clans.

I will try to preference original clan groupings (unless anyone specifically does/doesn't want to be with anyone - you can PM me if you want to keep it private, and I won't be insulted or take it personally if you don't want to be with me (you jerk)) and will take volunteers for captains in order of request.

I'd love to join a clan if one is available, been in reaver's for the last two and really enjoyed it. I am experienced but crap.

So it's just me and maybe Orshelack left, from "The Expendables" (now "GNDS"). Oh welp! By the way I'd rather we keep our old name since I'm quite fond of it, and since tasonir left and I don't find a point in keeping this name, as it was his idea.

Cereal - the text says hold on. Those are tentative groupings depending on the pending 2. If we go 5-4-4 or more, you'll end up Captain of the third team, but your player list will change; TehDruid will be captain of the second team. I'll lock the lists in at 1 PM EST Friday.

TBH I've been pretty busy with work, I think I'll sit this one out since I probably won't have much time to play & am out of practice. Best of luck to the rest of you, I might join up next time around.

Thanks for having me in the Tavern Drunks. Very pleased that I was able to contribute a win, and it seems fitting that I was hungover when I finished the game.

Well, Chokes on Extended, we didn't take down our "rivals", The Tavern Drunks (23rd place; nice!), but at 40th place, at least we took down 2/3 of the competition.

Great job, gang! Ajonos is our heavyweight, but totally congrats to tedric, for his win that also gave him second fastest of all participants in terms of turn count!

Sorry I couldn't quite get my Merfolk Poker of TSO going right (three solid tries!), but I realized my last attempt (which scored me the Lord of Darkness II banner! :-)

Only 12 players got Lord of Darkness II, and 2 of them were in our clan!) was not complete and tournament time was running out.

Next time I won't have finals week during the tournament. :-)

Thank you Tavern Drunks for being so terrific. You guys rock. I wish I'd been able to contribute a bit more. But I'm obviously still too unexperienced. (My Minotaur Berserker drowned after he used a ring of flight in the Shoals and was mesmerized by a mermaid. He had no potion of flight. Was panicking and tried to kill the mermaid instead of trying to use the ring. Funny death somehow.)

Group high five Tavern Drunks! Pleased to see us sitting pretty at 23, especially knowing I didn't contribute much. Just awful horrible luck, and impatient playstyle. I almost got us a Chei win, but died on ascending, to poison of all things. But it looks like we all got our fair share of banners, woot! Thanks Xuaxua for organizing the thread and our group!

Congratulations to Tavern Drunks for being in top 27! Thanks for organizing the clans, it was an enjoyable experience.

On a side note, have just noticed that my tournament win rate is 27.27% ^_^

It was a lot of fun yes.

I got greedy on my final character and tried doing another full zigguraut run. Was blasting everything to pieces with my nearly max-power firestorm, all until Zigg:25 ended up being Attack of the Killer Orb of Fires. Took out a bunch of them, but without controlled blink, my teleports failed me and I was eventually overrun.

My previous run that included the 27 floor zigg completion my character had Glaciate and Controlled Blink spells reliable, so I took out the OOF floor there with no problem, and was able to blink away from the enemy firestorm ghost I ran into on Zigg:22. Maybe my new ghost will give someone a bit of a taste of that... paying it forward.

In all honesty, I don't usually do tournaments (except for my halfhearted 0.14 attempt), but this actually felt like a true, full on competition. I apologise for not contributing a ton, but, like I mentioned, this was my first real tournament. I hope that Chokes On Extended (read: Deez Mangoes) sticks together, and that I still get an invitation.

I want to thank Sharkman1231 for organizing The cursed toe casts Symbol of Toement. This is the first time I've finished in the top 25. Also, thanks for spectating me on my only win. Your advice helped me not screw up. And congrats on your 15 runers! Also, thanks to the rest of the Toes: DualCategory, Leibowitz, & Strat. All of our scores were needed to get us to 25th place. Hope to see you next tournament.

Wrong place to post this, probably, but I second chukamok in thanking Sharkman1231 and all the other Toes for a fun tourney -- as usual, I blew a lot of games that a good player would have won, but that's me. Hope to see everyone in 0.16.
