Crawl against the grain is a challenge to fight your nature. You must play a species with extreme apts and do exactly what that race isn't supposed to do.

Rules:
  • Play as a Og, Tr, Ce, Ha, HE, DE, DD, Sp, Te or Vp.
  • You may only train skills with an Apt. of -3 or lower OR a * [lowest apt in the game for that skill.]
  • If all of these skills hit 27, you may then skill normally.
  • You must also start with a background that exhibits primarily or only these skills you are bad at or a Wanderer.
Example: a Spriggan may train Fighting, UC, M&F, Polearms, Staves, Armour, Shields, and/or Conjurations. All other skills are locked. Suitable backgrounds would be Berserker, Fighter or Conjurer..
The hardest race for this is Centaurs; as they can only train Armour, Dodging, Stealth, Shields and Spellcasting.

Idea came out of repeated deaths trying to be a OgIE and wondering if it was possible to survive with -3 Apt or lower in your primary killdudes skill (or all your skills). I want to see someone pull it off; as I get the feeling most the successful bizarrely bad combo accents OgAs, for example; pulled it off by abandoning the background to play to the race. (Joining Trog at first availability and switching to maces in that case.)

You cannot train dodging, and cannot wear normal armour. Your defences will be terrible.
